Agreements

Membership Agreement

Welcome to the Walnut Heights Swim Club! We are excited that you have chosen to become a part of this special community. As a member, you are part owner of the pool. With that comes the responsibilities of ownership, which we have detailed below. Please take the time to read and understand what it means to be a member of this neighborhood organization. Your membership will be processed upon receipt of this completed document.

Membership Highlights

  • When you buy a membership at Walnut Heights Swim Club, you are buying it from a member who is leaving. You will be a member until it sells to another family. The club has a fixed size of members so it is never too busy.
  • You will be invoiced annually. The current annual rate is $700. This gives you and your family full access to the pool unless the swim team (Walnut Heights Otters) is practicing or swim meets are in progress. Please see the Pool Calendar for specific dates and times.
  • The swim team is separate from the pool and has a separate registration.
  • This is our pool together - help us keep it safe, clean, and let the board know if there are any issues.

Ending Your Membership

While we hate to see you go, we understand that sometimes you need to move on and kids grow up. When this time comes, please be aware of the following:

  • Your membership will sell when you are matched with a buyer. This could take some time, depending on how many people are ahead of you on the Sell List.
  • You are a member until it sells to a new family, and are obligated to pay your annual dues to help support the club.
  • To sell your membership, log into your account and press the Request to Sell button in the upper right corner, or email Membership and ask to be added to the Sell List.
  • The one-time membership deposit will be refunded at the time your membership is sold and you have been a member in good standing. Any applicable outstanding annual dues, fines, or missing key fees will be deducted from your membership deposit upon the sale of your membership.

Pool Gate

There are two ways to open the pool gate: (1) a physical key, and (2) the August App.

  • Key You will be asked if you want a key. Please be aware that the key is only for members. Replacement of the key costs $75.00.
  • August App This is an app that is downloaded to your phone. When at the gate, simply open the app and it will unlock the gate via bluetooth.

We thank you in advance for keeping our younger members and community safe by locking the gate after entering or leaving the pool.

Work Party Assignments

As a privately owned swim club, members are required to work up to a one 4-hour work party assignment in order to keep the annual dues to a minimum while maintaining the pool grounds. This will happen approximately once every 2-3 years on a rotating basis across the club members. You will be notified in advance of the date. If you are not available on that date you can ask to switch with another member within that year (we can assist with that), or you can pay $150 towards the maintenance of the pool. No show fee is $200.

Pool Rules

  • The Pool Opening and Closing Dates are determined each year by the governing Board of Directors, and will typically be mid-May thru mid-October, 6am - 9pm.
  • Guests and members under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an 18+ Adult member at all times.
  • When reserving the pool for a party, the use is non-exclusive. Members may still use the pool.
